Memory controls

How do I view, delete or turn off AI memory?

Use Manage memories in the Memory Center's More menu to inspect and delete saved entries. Open Memory settings from the account page to turn off Enable memory and stop new memory writing and memory use in replies. Turning it off does not automatically delete existing entries.

View and delete

  1. Open Memory from the chat sidebar and choose Manage memories from the More menu.
  2. Review the saved entries.
  3. Delete a specific entry, or use the clear-all action after reading its confirmation.
  4. Reopen the list and verify the result.

Turn memory off

  1. Open Memory settings from your account page.
  2. Turn off Enable memory and wait for confirmation that the setting was saved.
  3. If you also want to remove existing entries, delete them separately.

Understand the scope

  • The memory switch controls both future writing and memory use in replies.
  • Deleting a chat and deleting saved memories are separate operations.
  • The Delete and disable memory action combines deletion with turning the switch off. Read the confirmation carefully.
  • Clearing saved memories is not the same as deleting all account data. Destructive actions may not be undoable.

Questions and answers

Does switching memory off delete existing entries?
No. Delete existing entries separately if you want to remove them.
Does deleting chat history also remove long-term memory?
The two are managed separately. Inspect both chat history and saved memories.
