Memory Center
What is the Samesoul Memory Center?
The Memory Center lets you explore saved personal context. Open How Samesoul sees you to review available profile summaries, browse memories under Interests, Work, Health and Family, or use the plus button for custom categories. The More menu provides Memory overview and Manage memories. Summaries and categories may be empty while information is being collected or processed.
Open the Memory Center
Reviewed on 2026-09-17 against the current app. Menu names below include the Chinese labels so you can find them in the app; location and availability can vary by version.
- Sign in to the account whose memories you want to review.
- Open the chat sidebar and choose Memory (记忆) to enter the Memory Center (记忆中心).
- Tap How Samesoul sees you (Samesoul眼中的你), a category, the plus button, or the More menu according to what you want to inspect.
How Samesoul sees you
Tap the entry on the profile card to see summaries organized into five dimensions. A dimension may have no summary yet; available summaries reflect the information already organized and may need correction.
- Identity (身份信息): background and identity information.
- Long-term preferences (长期偏好): recurring preferences and habits.
- Long-term goals (长期目标): directions and goals discussed over time.
- Values (价值观): principles and choices reflected in the available information.
- Lessons (经验教训): experiences organized for later reflection.
- The profile page also has a recent-discovery summary area. If it is still being prepared, it is not a completed conclusion.
Browse Interests, Work, Health and Family
The four visual areas on the Memory Center home screen are category entry points. Tap one to see relevant saved memories, their times and an available category summary. These views help you explore related information; they are not a complete transcript of every conversation.
- Interests (兴趣): memories related to interests and activities.
- Work (工作): memories related to work and projects.
- Health (健康): relevant health and lifestyle context you have shared.
- Family (家庭): memories related to family and relationships.
- A category can be empty even when other saved memories exist. Open Manage memories to inspect the saved list.
Use the plus button for custom categories
- Tap the plus button to open Your categories (你的分类), which lists custom categories separately from the four built-in areas.
- Use New category (新建分类), enter a specific name and confirm. For example, use a fictional study project as a category name when trying the feature.
- Open the category to browse relevant saved memories. Creating a category does not create memory content or upload documents to a knowledge base.
Memory overview, management and settings
- Open the More (…) menu and choose Memory overview (记忆总览) for an available narrative summary.
- Choose Manage memories (管理记忆) to inspect saved entries, search, filter and delete selected information. Overview summaries do not replace this list.
- Memory settings (记忆设置) is available from the account page. Turning off Enable memory (启用记忆) stops new memory writing and memory use in replies; it does not delete existing entries.
- Delete and disable memory (删除并关闭记忆) in the More menu combines deletion with disabling. Read its confirmation before using it.
Understand empty states and update times
No updates yet (暂无更新) means the home screen does not currently have an update time to display. It alone does not establish whether memories were saved or deleted. Profile summaries and categories depend on available information and processing.
- Check that you are signed in to the intended account and that Enable memory is on when you want new memories to form.
- Use Manage memories to check saved entries. A saved entry does not guarantee that every profile dimension or category has already been updated.
- If the app reports a loading error, check connectivity and retry. Allow time for new information to be processed; not every message is saved as a memory.
Memory Center, long-term memory and chat history
- Long-term memory organizes personal information that can support later relevant conversations.
- The Memory Center provides views and controls for exploring that information.
- Chat history preserves individual conversations. A knowledge base retrieves documents you upload; its upload entry is separate from the Memory Center's category button.
Questions and answers
- Where is How Samesoul sees you?
- Open Memory from the chat sidebar, then tap Samesoul眼中的你 on the Memory Center's profile card. Available summaries cover identity, preferences, goals, values and lessons.
- Does the plus button add a memory directly?
- It opens Your categories for browsing and creating custom categories. Creating a category does not automatically create a saved memory.
- Does an empty category mean all my memories were deleted?
- No. A category shows relevant results, not the full saved list. Use Manage memories to inspect entries and check for loading errors.
- Can I correct what Samesoul remembers?
- Review entries in Manage memories, delete inaccurate or unwanted information, and provide corrected context in conversation. Generated summaries may take time to reflect changes.
