Which AI models does Samesoul support?
Checked on 2026-09-17: the Samesoul app's chat model list includes Qwen3.8-Max, DeepSeek-V4-Pro, DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash, GLM-5.3, Qwen3.7-Plus, Kimi-K3, Doubao-Seed-Evolving. Smart thinking (Auto) selects a model for the task. Seedream 5.0 Pro is for image generation; SFT/DPO training uses separate base models. Availability depends on your app version, account access and the current service.
Chat models and versions
This list was checked on 2026-09-17 against the current Samesoul app's model selection and training catalogues. These are the seven named chat models; Auto is a selection mode. Check the model picker in your app for available options.

How to choose a chat model
- Open the model picker in the Samesoul chat screen.
- Choose a named chat model, or choose Smart thinking (Auto) to let Samesoul select a model for the question.
- Check account access and credit information, then send your message. You do not need to create a training task to switch a chat model.
Image generation
Seedream 5.0 Pro generates images from text or reference images. Select it for an image task. Its access, limits and credit costs are separate from the chat model list above.
Base models for SFT and DPO training
Checked on 2026-09-17: the training centre has these two preset base models. SFT uses example responses; DPO uses preferred and non-preferred response pairs.

Chat, training and memory serve different purposes
- Chat: use an available model to answer questions without preparing a training dataset.
- Training: choose a supported base model, prepare a dataset and start a separate task. Being available for chat does not mean a model can also be trained in Samesoul.
- Memory and knowledge bases: provide saved personal context or retrieve uploaded documents. They do not require you to train a base model.
Version changes and availability
- The current chat selection lists GLM-5.3. GLM-5.2 is a historical version and is not in this list of models for new selections. An old conversation or article may still show the previous name.
- Model selection can change with app updates and service availability. Check the full model name and this page's review date when comparing information.
- This page covers the Samesoul app's chat selection, image generation and preset training bases. Access, feature support and charges depend on your account and the current app; it is not a promise of unlimited use.
Questions and answers
- Is Smart thinking (Auto) another base model?
- No. It is a mode that selects a chat model for the question. You can also choose a named model in the chat model picker.
- Do I switch chat models in the training centre?
- Switch chat models in the chat screen's model picker. The training centre is for preparing data and creating SFT or DPO training tasks.
- Can I train every model listed for chat?
- No. The training centre has its own base model list. Check its available bases, training methods, account access and estimated cost before submitting a task.
